Providing personalized nurse and allied health staffing solutions
Eight core values form our foundation and guides all actions:
Excellence and Innovation
We believe in working hard to meet the highest professional standards of care. We know that advances in the field result from an open and creative work environment.
Integrity and Inclusion
We believe in being fair, transparent and interacting with respect for individual differences. We know that feeling welcome and healthy is essential to performing well.
Education and Compassionate Care
We believe our world deserves the best possible healthcare from the best possible caregivers. We know that people must come first, that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, sensitivity, and compassion.
Teamwork and Stewardship
We believe that the best relationships are collaborative, and the best decisions are shared. We know how important it is to make a difference.
In 2002, David M. Theobald, MS, RN, CSP, was working as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. By his side were supplemental and travel nurses filling critical gaps in care during a national nursing shortage. Although the system worked well, he envisioned a different, better approach to patient care staffing during times of need marked by high stress, one based upon the concept of caring rather than competitive preferences and strategies. His plan called for both temporary solutions to fill immediate needs and permanent solutions to ease the recurrent cycle of shortages.
Stat Staff Professionals began providing services in 2003 as one of the first nurse-owned and nurse-operated organizations in the United States. At its core is a commitment to provide exemplary patient care and staffing solutions that lead to the best health outcomes.
As CEO, Dave Theobald best articulates the company's success: “I believe our growth is due to an unyielding focus on a commitment to care - for our staff, clients, employees and most importantly, the patients we care for. They are our friends, family, community members. Our promise, to provide compassionate healthcare, is evident in every facet of our business, from the rigorous credentialing standards and strong customer service provided to our clients to the compassionate care-based framework, comprehensive benefits, clinical support, continuing education and career development we provide to our nurses and allied health employees.”

We proudly hold the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® recognized as the gold standard in evaluating leadership, human resources management, performance measurement and improvement, and information management. It demonstrates our commitment and accountability to our clients and the healthcare professionals we employ.
