Our goal in supplemental staffing is three-fold:

Our caregivers undergo a careful and thorough interview, rigorous screening, and on-boarding process to ensure a good fit. Once on board, caregivers receive an in-depth orientation to Stat Staff, your organization and the assigned clinical site.

Caregiver screening process

Our rigorous caregiver screening process includes:

  • Thorough and complete reference check.
  • Initial interview.
  • Primary source verification of Nursing License or Allied Health certification.
  • Validation of required credentials, including professional licenses, certifications by American Heart Association for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS).
  • Validation of skill sets; competency standards including caring practices and behaviors.
  • Validation of health screening including immunizations, flu and Hepatitis B vaccination status, annual TB (PPD), and yearly physical.
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start or according to facility standards.
  • State and federal background screening through our local partner, Commercial Investigations, LLC, a trusted provider of national background investigative services.
  • Continuous review of exclusions issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (HHS OIG).
  • Adherence to regulations issued pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG).
  • Review of performance evaluations.
  • Continuous monitoring, real-time data, and analytics on credentials.
